The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a result of changing historical tides including World War I and the fall of the Ottoman Empire. The influence of a number of imperialist nations and their respective interests have always played a role in the conflict.  

 

This ongoing conflict is an extremely nuanced issue and draws more questions the more one is educated. 

 

Zionism, in its definition, does not have anything to do with the conflict.
